I would like to make a little presentation of myself. I hope it's OK to make it in english because my french is not good enough for you to understand, but I can understand most of what I read in this forum.

I'm a 46 years old dane and I have been working with TA's since 1991. I have owned 5 tractions, and at this moment I have 3.
My first TA was a 11BL from 1937 that I had for 9 years. A lovely car, but it was sold so I was able to buy a 11B perfo from 1939, my dream TA - black with red pilote wheels

For a brief time I owned a 11BL from 1953, but that was also sold - prewar tractions are my speciality.



7C 1937

Later I had to buy a 7C from 1937, a very nice original danish car and my latest car is a 11B from 1937. That car was found in Sweden and is just an emty shell without carte gris. It was imported to Sweden in 1985 from Auxerre in France as spareparts for a 11A 1936. The owner separated the car and sold off the engine hood, the front seat and the body and kept the rest of the parts. He has promised me, that I can buy all the parts he has left and the carte gris.

So my plan is to make a nice original 11B out of this basketcase, as prewar 11 normale are very rare in Danemark and also in France I belive. I have 2 sons and there must be a 11 normale for each
I'm now in the process of restoring the 7C and the 11B 1939 and the bodywork are almost done on both cars.
I will post pictures of the restoration later.

En plus, les photos expliquent bien ta passion, quelles chance les garçons d'avoir un père qui leur donne la possibilité de rouler en traction !! Moi, j'ai attendu d'avoir 42 ans pour y monter pour la première fois et ne jamais plus y redescendre

Glad to have news from you and your cars ! I love your comments when you say you "had to" buy a 7.
Your 11B looks nice but also looks like it needs a new painting, the wheels have gone pink, that's very ... unusual ! The front bumper has vertical parts that are not pre-war but you certainly know it. Anyway, as you say, those pre-war 11B are quite rare and deserve great care.
Good luck for the remaining work and thank you for the advices and pictures of the Solex 35 FATIP that now works great in my '39 11BL except the vacuum accelerator pump that I'll fix later on.
By the way, my car will be partly repainted by the time I type those words.

Petit clin d'oeil, les deux jeunes tractionnistes ont l'air de s'y faire ! Et pourtant il fait chaud dans une voiture noire (sans clim !) fin juillet dans le Gers !

Attention, les 2 pseudos de Yann qui réagissent au sujet des 11 de 1939, correspondent à 2 tractionnistes différents !

Duke le Palois: Yann de Pau, 2 fils & une 11 Légère de 1939 (11BL 39), roues Pilotes jaunes bouton d'or.
Yann 30: Yann du Gard, 2 filles (3 & 6 ans1/2) & une 11 Normale de 1939 (11B 39), roues Pilote rouges.

Il y a d'autres Yann, d'autres tractions de 1939 & d'autres tractionnistes dans le sud de la France...
Que ceux qui ont tout ça en commun avec nous, lèvent le doigt.

Mais les tractionnistes danois possesseurs d'avant-guerre sont aussi les bienvenus ! (d'avant-guerre jusqu'en 57 biensûr ! )
Dommage que le pays des vikings soit un peu loin ...
Je ne suis jamais monté plus haut que Kiel.

Donc, bienvenue au cousin danois !

Il va peut être falloir organiser une réunion des Yann qui ont des Tractions de 1939 avec des roues rouges ou jaunes quelque part dans le Sud de la France. A Toulouse ???
